Today marks week twenty-four of my pregnancy with the twins. This is an important milestone because it means we have reached the point of viability, should the girls' decide they want to come out and view the world from the outside. From what I've read, the survival rate for twins born at 24 weeks is anywhere from 70 to 85 percent. Apparently, girls have a higher chance of survival than boys. Must be the estrogen! *wink*
Of course, because I'm the Mommy and because I said so, these girls better not even THINK about a birthday this month - or next month or even in October. I keep telling them they are more than welcome to come out ANYTIME in November. Daddy is hoping they'll arrive on his birthday - November 1st. And, yes, they have my permission to do so if they choose. But, not ONE DAY before!
