Daddy's Little Helper

I went to a baby shower this afternoon and while I was gone, it looks like Aidan became Daddy's Little Helper!

Farm Day at Lollypop Farm

Daddy, Aidan, and I had lots of fun at Farm Day at Lollypop Farm.

We met some friends there and Aidan and his friends got to pet horses, goats, cows, and pigs. Aidan was a little nervous around the horses, but he had a great time petting the goats. He also enjoyed playing in the straw maze.

What a morning...

We've had quite the morning today! First of all, Aidan decided it would be fun to wake Mommy up at 6:30am (instead of his usual 8:30am). He was raring to go when we came downstairs to play - he dug out at least seventeen books and wanted me to read him every single one. Twice.

When it was time for breakfast, I let him play in the kitchen and living room (he likes to push and pull his suitcase through the rooms while I make breakfast). Well, he decided it would be more fun to take one of our picture frames off of the end table and throw it on the kitchen floor while Mommy wasn't looking. Yes, there was glass in the frame. And, yes, it broke into a thousand different pieces. I quickly cleaned it up and (stupid Mommy) let him loose once again while I finished making breakfast.

Aidan decided it would be fun to pull the Cheerios box out of the cupboard and shake it all over the kitchen floor. At first, nothing came out of the box (it was closed) but once he figured out how to open it (and, yes this only took a second or two... too fast for me to catch him), he thought it would be LOTS of fun to shake the Cheerios ALL over the kitchen floor. And, I mean all over. There were Cheerios in the dog dish, the cat's dish, the water bowl, on the stairs, under the table. Everywhere.

So I quickly put him in his booster seat and he played with his juice while I cleaned up the Cheerios mess. He enjoyed his breakfast and, surprisingly, he didn't throw any of it on the floor. Maybe he'd had enough fun making messes on the floor.

After breakfast, we got dressed (and he helped me dress him by removing his diaper - his favorite thing to do!). Then we came back downstairs where he again proceeded to give me about a thousand books to read.

He had fun dancing to the Wiggles and the Doodlebops, which was adorable. It's those moments where we dance together and act silly that make mornings like this all worth it. I wouldn't change a thing about today... Aidan is my rambunctious, excitable, adorable, silly, loving little boy. And I love him to pieces just the way he is.
