In Honor of those who Loathe (and love) "Blowboaters"

Aidan's Great Uncle Harry passed away on September 11th, 2004 - a little more than a year before Aidan was born. Great Uncle Harry had a passion for boating. And not just any type of boating... it had to be powerboating. He had a name for those other boaters (sailboaters). That word was BLOWBOATERS.

Well, Aidan received a really cute outfit from his Great Aunt Dolly and Great Aunt Carol for Easter... (we made mention of it here) On the front of the romper, there is an embroidered sailboat, or, in Great Uncle Harry's words, a "blowboat." Once we saw the sailboat, we told Great Aunt Dolly that the first time Aidan wore the outfit, we'd be sure to take him to the cemetery to visit Great Uncle Harry. She thought that was a great idea and even said, "don't be surprised if the earth shakes a little bit under your feet!"

So, once we got to the cemetery, we braced ourselves! =) We had a very peaceful visit... we can envision Great Uncle Harry teaching Michael the finer points of boating. I'm sure that Great Uncle Harry even has a boat similar to the Ladyhawk and Michael urges him to go "Faster! Faster!". I'm so glad they have each other in Heaven's playground. I bet it's sunny every day and there's even a lake that is off limits to those darned blowboaters!

Here's the photos from our visit:
