Update on the Girls...

We had another routine ultrasound and biophysical profile this morning to check on the girls.

Both babies look great and Mommy is doing well, too... My blood pressure was 128 over 58, which is a little higher than it's been, but nothing to be concerned about. Both girls passed the biophysical profile with an 8 out of 8, so they're in perfect health, which is fantastic news.

Baby A is still in a vertex position and still very much engaged in my pelvis. Her heart rate was a strong 155 beats per minute and she weighed in at a hefty 6 pounds, 9 ounces!

Baby B is also doing very well... she is also in a vertex position and her heart rate was a strong 163 beats per minute. She weighed in at a hefty 6 pounds, 10 ounces!

The midwife checked me for dilation, and still nothing! It's so frustrating that I've been having contractions on and off for almost two weeks and they're apparently not effective. I guess we just wait until they get stronger. I still can't believe my body is able to carry almost 14 pounds of baby and not go into labor!

We do have an end in sight, though. We learned today that they have officially put our c-section date on the books (both for the OB's schedule and at the hospital). We are scheduled to evict these girls, should they not come on their own before the scheduled date, on November 27th. That would put me at 38 1/2 weeks and they estimate the girls would weigh between 7 1/2 and 8 pounds a piece... Guess we'll wait and see what happens!

We are scheduled for another prenatal appointment and biophysical profile next Wednesday, November 21st.
